12:30 – 1:30, the worshipers will share a pot-luck lunch while making sandwiches for Cultivate Initiative clients as we did for God’s Work Our Hands on September 3.
These will each be a “Service/Service.”
ALOHA, ALL! I HOPE YOU “REGULARS” WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND OUR ADVENT MIDWEEK. SINCE WE ARE HAVING A LUNCH AND STUDY, I’M HOPING YOU’LL HELP IN THE LUNCH BY BRINGING SOMETHING TO SHARE. I’M MAKING MY “CLEAN OUT THE FRIDGE” BEAN SOUP FOR THIS COLD WEATHER. WE’LL NEED ANOTHER HOT DISH, SALADS, DESSERTS, AND BREAD.
WE’LL MEET IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL BECAUSE WE’LL NEED THE SPACE FOR THE SANDWICH MAKING. I’M HOPING WE’LL HAVE AT LEAST 15 PEOPLE FOR THIS.
HOPE YOU CAN HELP AND, CERTAINLY, I HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US DESPITE THE WEATHER… SO PARAPHRASING DEAN MARTIN… OH, THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL BUT THE FELLOWSHIP HALL IS SO DELIGHTFUL. SO, WE’LL SERVE AND NOT COMPLAIN… LET IT RAIN! LET IT RAIN! LET IT RAIN!
BLESSINGS IN THIS SEASONS AS WE PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD! PEACE AND ALOHA IN CHRIST – YUKIO, December 5, 2023
