We will all meet at Centennial High on Saturday morning for commissioning and to meet with our volunteer groups and point people for our projects. When everyone has checked in for a project, that group will be dismissed to their project site.
Service Project Sign Ups
Sign Ups will be done online with the assistance of the planning committee member from your congregation. If you aren’t sure who that is; please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
Please Note Important Facts
The volunteer limits are put in place by the project sites themselves. We can not change these numbers. Please remember that we are sharing volunteer spots between all seven congregations. If you would like to be sure you get a service placement where you really want it, or with your friends or family please sign up ASAP.
Signage, parking attendants, and wheelchair accessibility has been revamped for this year’s event. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions if you have concerns.
Potluck following Sunday worship at CHS. Chicken and water will be provided. Please bring something to contribute to our combined meal.
Saturday Service Project Jobs
Community Prayer Vigil; located at Pilgrim Lutheran will include writing greeting cards for home bound congregation members. Guided prayers and devotions will be available. Unlimited volunteers.
Feminine Hygiene Care Packs and LifePax; these packs will be put together at Trinity Lutheran. Care packs will go to wormen in developing countries who lack hygienic supplies to meet monthly needs. 10 Volunteers Max.
Prayer Blocks and Dementia Blocks; St. Tim’s will be hosting quilting this year. The project will include sewing prayer blocks and dementia blocks for people in care facilities. 30 Volunteers Max.
Letter Writing for Advocacy; GWOH LCS service project this year will provide a place and an opportunity to write letters advocating for people without a voice. Unlimited Volunteers.

Combined Worship at Centennial High School Located at 3505 SE 182nd Ave, Gresham, OR 97030. Food to Follow! Please bring a dish for the potluck, chicken will be provided for a main dish.
Offering will be donated again this year to a charity of the Pastors’ choosing.

Snowcap; Snowcap will have work inside and outside for us this year. Work can include organizing, cleaning, packaging (inside) or painting, gardening, beautifying (outside). Inside volunteer limit 25. No limit outside.
Habitat ReStore; both the PDX and Gresham locations will host GWOH volunteers this year. This job included stocking shelves, painting, and organizing the stores last year. 25 volunteers max per location.
Zarephath Kitchen; Help spruce up this food pantry and support them in providing a vital service to East County. 10 volunteers max.
Dignity Village; help support a local homeless community by cleaning up, recycling, painting, or building ramps.10 Volunteers Max.Must be 16 years old.
Fir Lone Cemetery; Feel your way through history as you tour and help care for this historic cemetery! Tasks range from ground maintenance to work around the headstones. Tools provided. Unlimited Volunteers.
Native Plant Center; This project is located in Tualatin. Help care for native plants! Activities include planting bulbs, seeds, and wildflowers. Tools and snack provided. Preference given to families with young children. 15 Volunteers Max.
Human Solutions; This project will be located at 162nd and Burnside Women’s Shelter. Volunteers will help prep and serve a meal to shelter residents. 15 Volunteers Max.
